Untold Stories is a series of ten short documentary films bringing forward important First Nations contributions to Australian history that are often absent from mainstream narratives.
Voiced by Ernie Dingo, the series shares stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people whose leadership, courage and talent helped shape the nation.
Each film is approximately two minutes long and can be used as a starting point for classroom discussion about Australian history, recognition and the role of First Nations peoples in shaping the country.
Originally produced to support the national Recognise constitutional recognition campaign, the films contributed to a wider conversation about truth telling, memory and belonging.
The series reached more than one million viewers across ABC television and social media platforms, demonstrating the appetite for historical storytelling grounded in Indigenous voice.
