Kirrendirri – Lost and Alone, premiered at the Melbourne International Film Festival, contributing to national conversations around reconciliation and truth-telling.

Grounded in lived experience, the film centres the voice of Joslin Eatts, nee McCabe, an Elder from Winton in Western Queensland. Through her candid and courageous reflections, the film revisits a massacre story and the intergenerational impact of violence, silence and survival.

Produced by Tom Hearn and Pearl Eatts, the work honours Joslin’s strength, humour and unfiltered honesty. Her truth-telling is not performative. It is a brave act of remembrance and an invitation for Australia to engage more deeply with its own history.
